Episode 880: The Seven Churches of Revelation 2 and 3 Ephesus Part 10

Hello everyone. In this morning's Bible study we commence our detailed study into the church at Ephesus.

What did our Lord have to reveal concerning the believers and unbelievers in the assembly at Ephesus? Wait, what? What do you mean by unbelievers?

That my friend is not a misprint. After the apostles Paul and John, then Timothy's ministry the church began to slowly move away from sound doctrine by allowing false teachers and unbelieving elders and deacons.

These men began to fleece the flock of God by introducing the doctrine of the Nicolaitans and a false gospel. This is what caused the people to lose their first love.

Friends, the scriptures makes it clear why these things happens. You do not have to guess. Let's allow the word of God to dictate to us what we should know and what we should believe.

This will impact the way that you live because it is your soul which is your mind and thoughts that control your behavior.

This is why the Lord commands us to renew our minds.
Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV)

Living Sacrifices to God
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Be Loyal to the Faith
13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.

If you want to maintain joy and peace in the midst of trials, testing, tribulations, and persecutions, the only prescription given to us is the word of God. Not music, not fasting and prayer, not hoping, not confession, no just the word of God.

Once the word of God floods your heart and mind then you will do my nature all those other things.
