Blame, Shame, and Divide: The New Face of Radical Progressivism

In a video that has circulated widely on social media, an individual delivers an anger-fueled, insult-laden tirade demanding empathy over ICE raids in Los Angeles. Instead of making a reasoned argument, this voice — echoing the sentiment of a growing faction within the radical left — chooses to attack, shame, and divide Americans who do not share their ideological view.

“I literally don’t want to see you in your favorite Hispanic restaurant. I don’t want to see your damn videos and photos in Mexico City or Puerto Vallarta… You cannot enjoy the culture of others if you don’t give a damn about those people.”

This is not a call to reflection or civic action. It’s an ideological threat disguised as moral justice. And unfortunately, it’s becoming the dominant tone among the most extreme sectors of contemporary progressivism.

Selective and Hypocritical Morality

Rather than engaging in honest debate, the new left prefers to enforce its worldview through guilt and cancellation. In this case, anyone who isn’t outraged by ICE — a federal agency lawfully enforcing immigration laws — is deemed unworthy of dining in a Mexican restaurant, traveling to Latin America, or enjoying a margarita. This view reduces people to political labels and prohibits cultural exchange unless there's full allegiance to one ideological stance.

But the problem goes beyond the absurd — it’s intolerance in disguise. To pretend only those who agree with them deserve access to global culture is exactly the type of exclusion they once denounced. Today, they enforce it with zeal.

Defending the Law Isn’t a Lack of Empathy

What’s happening in Los Angeles with ICE operations is not, as the video claims, “deplorable.” It’s the enforcement of the rule of law. These raids target individuals who have violated U.S. immigration laws and, in many cases, pose threats to national security, the economy, and to already vulnerable communities suffering from crime, unemployment, and strained services.

It’s important to remember that the United States is a sovereign nation. No country in the world allows unchecked immigration. Not Mexico. Not Guatemala. Not a single European country. Why should the United States?

Empathy does not mean tolerating lawlessness. It means applying the law with justice, humanity, and common sense. But allowing the system to collapse out of fear of being labeled “inhumane” is political negligence. This isn’t about hate. It’s about sovereignty, order, and respect for those who follow the rules.

Culture Is Not an Ideological Property

One of the most disturbing aspects of the video is the idea that only progressive activists have the right to enjoy or participate in other cultures. That’s a dangerous, divisive notion. No one owns a tradition, a dish, a language, or a geography. To travel, taste, connect, and enjoy is part of the human experience — not a political privilege.

Suggesting that anyone who doesn’t embrace far-left politics should be barred from the Hispanic or Latin American world is ludicrous. Should a conservative Mexican not be allowed to visit New York? Should a Colombian Trump supporter be banned from sipping whiskey in Texas? That’s not how the world works. This purist mindset that categorizes people as “allies” or “enemies” is ultimately more exclusive than inclusive.

The Real Goal: Shame, Silence, Obey

The true purpose of the video isn’t empathy. It’s emotional coercion. The speaker isn’t calling for reflection. They’re demanding ideological loyalty. The message is simple: if you don’t think like me, you don’t deserve to live a normal life. You don’t deserve to travel, eat out, enjoy yourself, or raise your kids without guilt. Disagree with me, and you are inhuman — and by extension, deserve to be punished.

This kind of rhetoric doesn’t build a more compassionate nation. It builds a culture of fear. Of self-censorship. Of citizens afraid to speak their minds for fear of being judged, isolated, or canceled. That’s not democracy. That’s not empathy. That’s emotional authoritarianism.

The Silent Majority Has Spoken

Thankfully, millions of Americans have made it clear they refuse to live under this moral dictatorship. The ballot boxes spoke in November 2024. Donald J. Trump was re-elected, with JD Vance as Vice President, because the majority of voters are tired of progressive hysteria, border chaos, and a left more interested in social media outrage than responsible leadership.

Voters chose order, security, and sovereignty. They chose leaders who won’t be emotionally blackmailed. Leaders who proudly defend our borders. Leaders who make no apologies for upholding the law.

The Future Demands Resolve, Not Rage

True empathy isn’t imposed. It’s practiced — and it can be practiced while enforcing the law. America doesn’t need more angry influencers delivering online sermons. It needs citizens committed to truth, civility, and the rule of law.

No one should need permission to enjoy a margarita or a vacation. What must be demanded, however, is respect for the law — and for every American’s right, regardless of background, to live in a country that is free, lawful, and safe.
