ℹ️Good family movie. Overall, it’s a solid family film that nearly earned a G rating, if not for the woke content. Viewers who dislike woke racial swapping and similar changes may be disappointed, and fans of the animated version might also be unsatisfied with the characteristic changes made to characters.

🚨Woke Content:
Astrid - changed from blonde, white, blue-eyed viking girl to dark hair, tan skin, part African girl.
Fishlegs - changed from blonde, white green-eyed viking to tan, dark haired, brown-eyed boy.

Plot:
The 2025 live-action How to Train Your Dragon, directed by Dean DeBlois, is an adaptation of the 2010 animated film, based on Cressida Cowell’s book. Set on the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been enemies for generations, the story follows Hiccup (Mason Thames), the inventive but overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler). Unlike his dragon-slaying tribe, Hiccup is compassionate and curious. After injuring a rare Night Fury dragon, whom he names Toothless, Hiccup secretly befriends it, discovering dragons are misunderstood rather than malicious. With help from Astrid (Nico Parker), a fierce and ambitious teen, and Gobber (Nick Frost), the quirky blacksmith, Hiccup challenges Berk’s traditions. As an ancient threat emerges, endangering both Vikings and dragons, Hiccup and Toothless’ bond becomes key to forging peace, leading to an epic battle that redefines heroism and unity.
