Ebert & Roeper: 12-1-01

Roger Ebert & Richard Roeper reviews "Behind Enemy Lines" (Affirmatively, the most outrageous funniest review on the show for such a tedious and poorly edited Action War film with Owen Wilson, Gene Hackman, who had better War films such as "Uncommon Valor" and "Bat 21" and Joaquim de Almeda.); "The Independent"; "The Affair of the Necklace"; "Spy Game"; "Fat Girl" and a short review of "Black Knight" (Sounds like Ebert prefers free edited commercial syndicated TV for this Martin Lawrence Medieval Comedy I guess!)

Video Spotlight: Roeper's pick is "Almost Famous" (2000): The Ultimate Bootleg Cut on DVD.

Movie Answer Man: Ebert discussed about Sony's new manufactured High Definition DVD called "Superbit" and demonstration of the picture quality and sound but no Special Features. (Superbit later had Special Editions for other Sony catalog movies. This was before Blu-rays! BTW, I have that same DVD of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" along with the Blu-ray with Extras!) And a recap of Today's program.

Recorded on KATU ABC 2 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
