A major military escalation erupted in West Asia as Israel launched a wave of targeted strikes on Iran's nuclear infrastructure in a campaign dubbed "Operation Rising Lion." The strikes, confirmed by international monitors, targeted the Natanz facility and other strategic sites, reportedly killing several top Iranian commanders and at least six nuclear scientists. Iranian state media showed buildings ablaze in Tehran and explosions near Tabriz's nuclear center and airport. While Iran claimed its Fordow and Isfahan sites were unaffected, their actual status remains unclear. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the operation as a necessary move to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Iran has vowed a "no limits" response, while air travel across the region has largely been suspended. Israel has declared a state of emergency amid fears of retaliation but later scaled down the restrictions
