David Hogg splits from DNC in ‘fundamental disagreement’ over vice chair’s role

David Hogg has stepped down as vice chair of the Democratic National Committee and will not run in the upcoming re-do election, citing disagreements over the role and a desire to focus on his PAC, Leaders We Deserve.

Hogg said the conflict with DNC leadership, including Chair Ken Martin, was distracting from the party’s broader goals.

Despite tensions, both Hogg and Martin expressed mutual respect, ABC News has reported.

The DNC election will proceed without Hogg, leaving fellow vice chair Malcolm Kenyatta unopposed for now.
