Fire at The Church of Saint Mary The Virgin in Luxor Egypt – Huge Explosion Inside the Church

💭 Civil Protection Forces in Luxor Governorate were able to control a limited fire that broke out inside the Virgin Mary Church in Esna, south of the governorate, on Saturday, June 7t, 2025. without any human injuries or loss of life.

Sources confirmed that the fire was limited and was dealt with quickly and professionally. They indicated that it did not result in any injuries or deaths, and was limited to some minor damage to one of the side rooms.

For its part, the relevant authorities have begun an initial inspection of the fire site, while investigative authorities are directly investigating the cause. There are reports that a gas cylinder exploded inside a storage room or kitchen of the Church causing a limited fire.

Security forces are currently securing the church's surroundings to ensure stability and complete the necessary technical investigations.

However, it was heard that someone was shouting "Allahu Snakbar!"
