What if taking a step back is actually moving forward?
Don’t be afraid to take a step back in life.
You never know what it means. Sometimes what feels like a setback is actually the beginning of something new.
In this video, I share a real-life story about a client going through a difficult time. She’s in the middle of a divorce and trying to manage a big house with a long-term loan. She’s working two jobs just to keep up appearances. Many people feel this pressure. They hold on to things like a big house or a fancy car because they think it defines them.
But here’s the truth. Letting go doesn’t mean failure. It can be preparation for growth.
I also talk about my own experiences. I’ve moved almost 30 times in the last 25 years. Sometimes I had to live in my shop, sleep in my office, or move back in with my dad. Every time it felt like a step back, but each one led me forward.
Taking a step back can give you space to breathe, reset, and begin again. Whether it’s downsizing your home, selling your car, or simplifying your life, these choices don’t have to be setbacks.
If you’re going through a transition or feeling stuck by expectations, this message is for you.
Remember, don’t be afraid of what others might think. Lower your external standards if you need to, but keep your internal goals strong. A step back can be the push you need to launch forward.
