Deadly Bombings Hit Colombia After Assassination Attempt on Senator Uribe | Firstpost America | N18G

Colombia has been rocked by a wave of 24 coordinated bombings and gun attacks across multiple cities, leaving at least seven dead and reportedly 50 injured. The targets included police stations, municipal buildings and civilian areas. The country's armed forces said the blasts were likely caused by a guerrilla group that splintered from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or the FARC rebels. The attacks come just days after an assassination attempt on opposition Senator Miguel Uribe, who remains critical. A 15-year-old has been charged.
