Escalation of LA protests into riots, immigrants criminalized for control, not justice.

Back in the day, there was no such thing as an illegal immigrant. At some point, the people who came before decided to pull the ladder on the people who came after. I wanted to make the point that we didn't criminalize immigration because it was just. We criminalized immigration for control. I also want to make the point that the LA protests were/are largely peaceful. It was ICE and police that escalated it. And there are ~9000 LAPD and only a few hundred protesters at any given time. Calling in the National Guard wasn't necessary. Calling in the Marines was ridiculous.
