Why Are Fans Labeling Devin Haney & Shakur Stevenson as Runners?

Since Turki Alashikh posted that he will no longer support fighters who like to run around the ring and not engage while the other fighter is chasing them, fans had two fighters come to mind: Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney.

Some fans are asking if it is fair to label them as such. Others say they deserve the label. Fans like me feel that there's an agenda to help fighters who can't cut the ring off.

Some feel Turki is encouraging fighters to entertain the fans. If fans aren't entertained, they'll leave the sport. If you listen to Floyd Mayweather, Bill Haney, and supporters of Haney & Shakur, they will say they represent the sweet science.

But Turki Alalshikh isn't trying to hear that. In his post, Turki never mentioned Devin & Shakur by name. However, fans believe they know who he was referring to: Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson.

If this is the case, is it fair to do so? Is it fair to label Devin & Shakur runners who don't like to engage inside the ring? Will this label harm their brand financially? Is there a conspiracy being brewed up against black fighters who display the sweet science?

Let's review the comments and see what people have to say.
