Warcraft 3 Reforged SD Backgrounds vs Original Classic Backgrounds

The original backgrounds are back... but how original are they?

Warcraft 3: Reforged implemented new backgrounds that are looping .webm files. In a patch on April 15th, they added in the original backgrounds, but they are looping .webm files of them rather than the original animated .mdx files. Here is a side by side comparison of each. I utilized Retera's "Warmash" engine to record the original files.
