For today's Daily Tune I'm played a segment of the Stage Theme 02 song from the NES game Rygar on acoustic guitar. I put a little western twist on it just to make it a bit more interesting.
I only do these short Daily Tune vids for fun so hope you enjoy ! Thanks !

Rygar is a fantasy action-adventure platformer developed by Tecmo for the NES, released in Japan as アルゴスの戦士 はちゃめちゃ大進撃 (Argos no Senshi: Hachamecha Daishingeki) on April 14, 1987, and later in North America (1987) and Europe (1990). Adapted from Tecmo’s 1986 arcade game, the NES version adds RPG elements and semi-open exploration, making it an early Metroidvania.

You play as a warrior (Rygar in Western versions) tasked with defeating King Ligar, who’s corrupted the land of Argool. Armed with the Diskarmor, a chain-linked shield, Rygar explores varied stages like Lapis and Dorago, earning experience to boost strength and health, and using spells like Recover and Power-Up. The game’s nonlinear design, tough difficulty, and iconic soundtrack made it a cult classic, selling well and influencing later action-adventure titles. Available on Nintendo Switch Online, it’s praised for its quirky enemies and nostalgic charm.
