Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest At Old Shawnee Days Festival - June 7th, 2025

This is my video of the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, held at the Old Shawnee Days Festival on Saturday, June 7th, 2025. I arrived on the scene about an hour early, in time to catch the end of an interview female World Champion Miki Sudo, who was making a special appearance at the contest. A few local articles were writing that men's World Champion Joey Chestnut was competing in this event, but that turned out not to be true. Joey didn't even make an appearance, which was a disappointment. Nonetheless, the Hot Dog Eating Contest went on, starting at 6:00 PM.

Being as I was early, I was able to snag myself a seat in the third row, and saving a seat my my nephew Alex, who arrived about 15 minutes after I did. It was certainly a fun experience, the crowd really started getting into it, once the contest started. They announced the male and female winners after the competition was over, and I believe the men's winner ate around 29 hot dogs, and the female's winner ate about 10 or 11 total.
