BioShock Infinite | Revealing the dark secrets of Columbia's utopia and Elizabeth's past
Gameplay Part 2
Indebted to the wrong people, with his life on the line, veteran of the U.S. Cavalry and now hired gun, Booker DeWitt has only one opportunity to wipe his slate clean. He must rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious girl imprisoned since childhood and locked up in the flying city of Columbia. Forced to trust one another, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond during their daring escape. Together, they learn to harness an expanding arsenal of weapons and abilities, as they fight on zeppelins in the clouds, along high-speed Sky-Lines, and down in the streets of Columbia, all while surviving the threats of the air-city and uncovering its dark secret.
In this playthrough we cover:
Finkton Docks:
After crashing the airship, Booker and Elizabeth land in the underbelly of Columbia—Finkton. The tone shifts sharply as they arrive in a world ruled by industrialist Jeremiah Fink, where the poor labor endlessly for meager pay and the Vox Populi’s rebellion simmers just below the surface.
Beggar’s Wharf:
Winding through the grimy alleyways and makeshift shelters of Beggar’s Wharf, Booker sees firsthand the human cost of Columbia’s prosperity.
Fort Franklin Pier:
They push through this fortified shipping yard controlled by Fink’s private security and discover more propaganda demonizing the Vox Populi.
Worker Induction Center:
Booker infiltrates the grotesque recruitment facility where workers are selected based on a timed test that mocks free will.
Plaza of Zeal:
Returning to the commercial heart of Finkton, Booker searches for a gunsmith who can help arm the Vox Populi.
Good Time Club:
Booker enters Fink’s twisted theater to confront Slate again. Fighting through waves of enemies, Booker retrieves key intel from Fink’s office and learns the gunsmith has been taken to a prison.
Plaza of Zeal (Return):
Armed with new knowledge, Booker and Elizabeth return to the Plaza only to find things have escalated. The people are restless, the Vox are stirring, and Columbia teeters closer to civil war.
Gunsmith Shop:
Inside the cramped shop, they find Chen Lin dead, only for Elizabeth to tear open a rift to an alternate reality where he is still alive. But in this timeline, Columbia is already engulfed in rebellion.
Shanty Town:
Crossing through the poorest district of Columbia, Booker sees the damage wrought by class inequality firsthand. Corpses, suffering citizens, and Vox propaganda line the streets.
Bull House Impound:
To retrieve the weapons for the Vox, Booker must infiltrate the police’s impound facility. Inside, he faces fierce resistance and battles his own shifting identity, as echoes of his alternate self, now a Vox martyr.
Bull Yard:
Emerging from the impound, Booker fights through a gauntlet of troops as the area descends into an all-out warzone. The Vox, once hopeful rebels, now commit atrocities of their own, forcing Elizabeth to confront the cost of their choices.
Finkton Proper:
Back in Fink’s domain, revolution erupts in full force. Elizabeth watches in horror as the Vox burn and loot indiscriminately, and Booker, once seen as a liberator, now becomes a symbol of destruction.
On to the Factory:
The duo rides a Sky-Line to Fink’s factory, now overrun by rebels. Booker’s mission shifts: escape Columbia at all costs. But Elizabeth, now more determined than ever, sees a bigger fight at stake.
Factory Courtyard:
The factory gates become a battleground. As they force their way inside, Elizabeth’s ability to manipulate tears becomes more refined.
The Factory:
Inside, Booker and Elizabeth find Fink, murdered by Daisy Fitzroy, the Vox leader. But her brutality horrifies Elizabeth, and when Daisy threatens a child, Elizabeth takes lethal action herself.
Emporia:
They ascend toward Emporia, Columbia’s affluent district. But a sudden sabotage sends them crashing back to the surface. Now separated from their goal and hunted by new enemies, they must claw their way upward again.
Port Prosperity:
Booker and Elizabeth must navigate through collapsing bridges, snipers, and waves of Vox and Founder soldiers as both sides tear the city apart in a struggle for dominance.
Downtown Emporia:
Amidst the opulence of Columbia’s upper crust, the duo faces the ruins of privilege. Lavish halls are now bloodstained battlegrounds, and Elizabeth’s powers reveal darker truths hidden in alternate realities.
Memorial Gardens:
At Lady Comstock’s mausoleum, Elizabeth tries to confront her past—only for the dead to rise. Lady Comstock’s ghost becomes a vengeful specter, forcing Elizabeth to battle not just physical threats, but her own identity and connection to Comstock himself.
