BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD was a show that focused on two dimwitted teens and their crude misadventures while commenting on music videos and pop culture at the time. Its crude humor reportedly inspired teens to do the same behaviors done in the show. Cameron, growing up our parents threatened to punish us if we watched the show but at the height of the show’s popularity, a movie came out.

BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD: DO AMERICA came out at the height of show’s popularity. While still focusing on the dumbass teenagers, the movie kinda serves as a social commentary at the time.

BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD THE MOVIE was a rare occurrence in cinema as very few adult oriented animated movies had been released on the big screen. Another challenge was translating the essence of the show into a 90 minute movie. Mike Judge makes a departure from the format of the show where Beavis and Butthead critique music videos in the middle of their episodes and has them going on a cross country misadventure that begins with them searching for a replacement for their stolen television. They get wrapped in the middle of a bioterrorism scare along the way.

While Beavis and Butthead pursue their stolen tv and a chance to score, Agent Flemming voiced by Robert Stack hunts down Muddy and Dallas who were voiced by then married couple Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Those who cross Agent Flemming are subjected to cavity searches and does he enjoy giving them out.

Mike Judge is known for his social commentary in his projects and this movie is no exemption. While Beavis and Butthead cause trouble, Agent Flemming is willing to violate American’s constitutional rights with unlawful searches in the name of protecting our freedoms a few years before the PATRIOT ACT came into effect.
