Prison getting ready to reopen

North Lake Correctional Facility in Lake County, has been getting ready to receive immigration detainees as President Donald Trump expands deportation efforts across the country. The Baldwin prison has been shuttered since 2022. Prison leaders haven’t told local officials when North Lake will reopen. David Barr Michigan News Source.
