Finley Expedition, Farson 1940

This partially edited 1940 silent Kodachrome film, possibly shot by Charles Bache, documents the University Museum’s Finley Expedition at the Eden, Wyoming, buffalo kill site, known for Eden Points. Linton Satterthwaite, Edgar B. Howard, and Mrs. Bache sift artifacts, survey dunes, and break clods under a sun/shade shelter by bison bones. A close-up of an arrow point dazzles, while a Farson Mercantile visit and a sign pointing to Rock Springs mark a pre-WWII archaeological adventure.
