But it's really scary in Thunberg's campaign is how she paints herself as kidnapped.

The contrast between the hostage and Thunberg is huge. The kidnapping of Naama Levy is one of the most famous images from the pogrom. A movie shows how Naama is pulled out of a car. She is dirty, bloody and has pants that are bloodstained around the abdomen. Her health is damaged or cut off so she can't run. Before that, she has witnessed a massacre, and like all Israelis, she knows what usually happens to those who are kidnapped. She survived and has told how she did not get food – sometimes just a little water.

The difference in fear between Naama and Thunberg is monumental. Thunberg knows she's safe. She knows that she will be released, that she will get food and water. She also knows that she will not be raped, mutilated or murdered. Yet she describes herself as kidnapped. But ” kidnapped ”, in the context of Gaza, is a terrible and life-threatening situation – very, very far from being arrested after trying to enter a country illegally.

The contrast becomes even clearer when Thunberg, within less than a day, sits on a plane to Paris. For Naama, it was about 477 days in captivity – with constant uncertainty whether she would be murdered that day or live another day.

For others kidnapped, it did not end with freedom – but with death. Sibas siblings were murdered by Hamas even though they were young children. Ariel was four years old when he was kidnapped, his little brother Kfir only nine months. Their parents were also kidnapped, and their mother murdered. When her body was to be returned, Hamas – in some kind of sick game – replaced the body with another.
Interest in helping the ” kidnapped ” Thunberg has been tangible. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' helpline was blocked, MPs were contacted and even Stina Wollter became involved. It is a commitment that is not shown to those who are actually kidnapped.

Greta Thunberg seems to have become a Bianca Ingrosso for the generation that lives on forever in 1968. Where the rest of the world sees a disgusting sacrifice in comparison to the real kidnapped, her admirers see a heroine. Few also seem to assume that her view of Israel would have her excluded from all political parties – except possibly NMR.

Thunberg was arrested – NOT kidnapped. She knew that she would be arrested, and that was part of the arrangement with her PR jippo. Therefore, there is a shamelessness in trying to portray themselves as one of those who is actually kidnapped. Those who do not know if they will be murdered, raped, mutilated – or just tortured for pleasure. Or if they will be released.

There was no fear. Instead, Thunberg smiled as she received her sandwich and water.
