Welcome to my first experience with Mindseye — and wow, this game knows how to leave an impression… just maybe not the one the devs intended.

In this video, I dive into the first few minutes of Mindseye, and let's just say things get weird fast. I'm talking about a camera bug so aggressive, it practically shoves you inside the protagonist’s skull—or somewhere far more uncomfortable. Whether it was his brain or his backside, I couldn’t tell. Either way, I wasn’t ready for that kind of intimacy from a game.

On top of that, I noticed some serious frame rate issues when looking around too quickly. The game has some impressive visuals at first glance, but the stuttering frames made me feel like my eyeballs needed a firmware update. Whether it's unoptimized settings or just poor performance, the jank definitely stood out.

And then… the explosion. Oh boy. The first explosion you witness in the game? It's like someone traveled back in time, stole the effects from a PS2 cutscene, and dropped it into a 2025 title. It had all the cinematic tension of a $2 firecracker and none of the polish you’d expect from a modern, supposedly next-gen experience.

Now, to be fair—I’m not writing the game off just yet. This is only part one, and we all know sometimes games start rough before revealing their hidden gems. So, I’m holding back on giving it a rating until I’ve explored more. But Mindseye definitely didn’t roll out the red carpet on my first playthrough. More like a glitchy yoga mat.

For anyone unfamiliar, Mindseye is a futuristic action-thriller that aims to blend cinematic storytelling with intense gameplay. It's set in a world full of corporate corruption, sci-fi tech, and mysterious characters, and stars Jacob Diaz—a man trying to navigate chaos, both external and internal. On paper, it sounds like a banger. In execution? Well… stay tuned for more parts as we dig deeper to see if Mindseye can redeem itself or if it's just another pretty trailer hiding a buggy mess.
