Today we make the ultimate survival fuel out of ingredients that you can find at home!

First we synthesize calcium acetate from white board chalk (calcium carbonate) and vinegar (acetic acid).

We then use calcium acetates unique solubility curve to our advantage by creating a supersaturated solution, that immediately precipitates out of the solution when added to alcohol!

This forms a stable gel that can be burned as a very effective and useful fuel, both indoors and outdoors. Check it out!
