Bitcoin Pizza Day 2025 at PubKey NYC

Blockstream joined forces with PubKey and Mi Primer Bitcoin to celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day 2025 in true cypherpunk style - with slices of pizza, sats, and self-custody.

To mark the occasion, Blockstream donated 1,000 Jade hardware wallets to Mi Primer Bitcoin, a nonprofit leading grassroots Bitcoin education across Latin America and beyond. These devices will help thousands of students take their first step into financial sovereignty, with real tools to learn and use Bitcoin from day one.

The event at PubKey NYC brought together Bitcoiners from all walks of life to commemorate the first-ever real-world Bitcoin transaction, and to spotlight how far we’ve come in building the tools and infrastructure for the next million users.
