State lawmakers one step closer to becoming highest paid legislators in country

State lawmakers are on track to get their first pay raise in 20 years. However, it doesn't come without controversy. A state committee recommends increasing legislative pay from $80,000 to $130,000 a year. That is a $50,000 increase in salary.
