We need a New World Order

Multipolarism alone is not the solution to unipolarism. Humanity's "salvation" depends on implementing a holistic ecological civilization with a social and ecological political economy (sufficiency economy).
Sovereignty must be fully respected; however, the countries must also be integrated into a new international order based on cooperation for geopolitical and geoeconomic equilibrium.
Humanity needs to overcome the great power competition (GPC) for a simple reason: overshoot.
The planet's "salvation" depends on a revolution in international relations. The Earth systems cannot afford militaristic races, much less endless wars. Cooperation is not an option; it is a fundamental necessity.
The planet's "resources" cannot continue to be squandered as if they were unlimited. At the same time, a minority of "entrepreneurs" get richer and richer, while the primary purpose of our existence is engaging in mindless consumption.
