Works of the Law - Luther’s Misreading of Paul

Did Martin Luther misread Paul? In 1517, he launched the Reformation, mistakenly claiming ‘works of the law’ meant ALL good deeds, pushing ‘faith alone.’ The Dead Sea Scrolls now reveal Paul meant only ritual or ceremonial laws, like purity rules in scroll 4QMMT. Luther deliberately added ‘alone’ to Romans 3:28, acknowledging it is not in the Greek, asserting it should have been there, proclaiming "Dr Luther will have it so!"
