How To Make A Concrete Stove #howitsmade
The process begins with precisely measuring and mixing 1 part cement to 3 parts sand in a metal tray, gradually adding water to achieve a thick, lump-free paste. The worker then prepares rectangular steel molds by coating them thoroughly with used engine oil to ensure easy release later. Two 6mm iron rebar rods, cut 1cm shorter than the mold length, are placed parallel inside positioned 2 inches apart from the edges—to reinforce the structure. The cement mixture is packed in two layers: first a 3cm base layer, then the remaining mix pressed firmly around the rods to eliminate air pockets. A finishing touch of fine sand is sprinkled on top and leveled with a wooden float to prevent cracking. The molds are sun dried for 24 hours under a damp cloth for optimal curing strength. Finally, the molds are carefully tapped open to reveal a commercial-grade cement stove with smooth edges and embedded rebar for durability ready to withstand high heat for years.
