Nigerian court held initial hearing last Wednesday, UMCN having filed suit against GMCN. Initial proceedings went well for GMCN. The next hearing is scheduled for July 10. Final judgment isn’t expected for several months. Meanwhile, police in Nukkai were somehow incentivized into preventing worship at the local GMC church, beating and arresting at least six people, including Conference Superintendent Baziel Yayuba Yoila.
