During the funeral of 19-year-old journalist Moamen Abu al-‘Ouf and the three paramedics killed alongside him: Hussein Muhaysin, Wael Attar and Bara' Afanah, fellow journalist Anas Al-Sharif delivered a tribute to Moamen’s dedication. He described Moamen’s relentless work documenting Israeli airstrikes and their aftermath in Gaza City, Jabalia, Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun. Moamen often accompanied ambulance crews, filming the martyred, the wounded, refusing to leave the frontlines even under fire. He was killed yesterday by the Israeli occupation army near Al-Mahatta Mosque on Yaffa Street in eastern Gaza City when they struck the area a second time as he and the paramedics were helping evacuate the dead and injured. Al-Sharif said Moamen was targeted because he was a witness with a camera and a voice, and vowed that journalists would carry on his mission despite the killings.
