Left in the Silence

We built a world with fragile hands,
Made promises like shifting sands.
You said forever, soft and sweet,
Then walked away on quiet feet.

Now I’m staring at our empty bed,
With all your words still in my head.
The truth hit hard, without a sound —
You loved me once, but not right now.

And I'm left in the silence,
Where your voice used to be.
Alone in the quiet,
That screams inside of me.
I gave you my heart,
But it wasn't enough…
Now I’m left in the silence,
Still calling it love.

The clock keeps ticking like it cares,
But time can’t fix what isn’t there.
Your goodbye lingers in the air,
Like perfume and unanswered prayers.

And I'm left in the silence,
Where your voice used to be.
Alone in the quiet,
That screams inside of me.
I gave you my heart,
But it wasn't enough…
Now I’m left in the silence,
Still calling it love.

I won’t hate you — I never could,
Even if I know I should.
But loving you was like a flame,
That burned too fast to keep the same.

So I’m left in the silence,
Where dreams come undone.
Still searching for echoes
Of when we were one.
I gave you my soul,
But it just wasn’t enough…
Now I’m lost in the silence —
Still calling it love.
