“We have been intercepted”: Greta Thunberg sends message as Gaza aid boat detained by IDF

Israel Defense Forces operatives intercepted a Gaza-bound aid boat Monday, detaining activist Greta Thunberg and eleven others on board the yacht 'Madleen'.

In a pre-recorded video message sent out only if the pro-Palestinian Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FCC) was thwarted by the IDF, Thunberg said, “We have been intercepted and kidnapped in international waters.”

The vessel set sail from Sicily a week earlier, aiming to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians. Israel says the aid will be redirected through approved channels, while the FCC activists will be deported.

“I ordered the IDF that the flotilla's passengers – upon their arrival at Ashdod port – will be shown the horror video of Oct. 7th. Massacre,” Israeli Minister of Defence Israel Katz said Monday.

“The antisemitic Greta and her Hamas-supporting friends should see exactly who Hamas terror organization is, in which they came to support,” he added.
