Marion County Sheriff’s deputies chase suspect that ended with a K-9 apprehending

Ocala, FL - Marion County Sheriff’s deputies have released video footage of a chase that ended with a K-9 apprehending the suspect.

On Friday, a deputy pulled over a car at a gas station in the northern part of the county for a license check.

According to deputies, the suspect, Jerry Gibson, led them on a car chase before exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot.

A K-9 unit was deployed to pursue him. Sheriff’s officials report that Gibson attempted to hit and grab the K-9 before a deputy used a taser to subdue him.

He was arrested and taken to jail.
