I was walking a path of destruction

Searching for what I could not find

On the road to hell

Living for today and yet empty and full of sorrow

Then one day you introduced yourself to me

And said if I would call on your name and believe in my heart

I could be redeemed

O'that it sounded so good to good to be true

But then you, but you said I would become a new man and my old life would be washed away,

Then what could I say Jesus be my Lord

And you made my life new

you turned my sorrow to joy

O' that it was better than good
