Experiment: Drop Testing the Acetone Dipped Screwdriver
3 months ago
10
Today we're drop testing the acetone dipped screwdriver from a previous video, to find out whether or not the acetone made the acetate plastic handle become 'brittle'
No statement has been made suggesting that you should, or should not use acetone to chemically "restore" a tool. I can only document my results from the experiment. Your results may vary. Different plastic compositions may have a different reaction to the acetone. The Chemical Restoration Experiment series is ongoing, some tests may fail, but I will document them anyway. All tests are done on "junk" tools that would have ended up in my scrap metal pile anyway.
