Stanford University's Dynamic Design Lab taught a DeLorean to drift on its own. To improve how autonomous cars handle emergency maneuvers and bad road conditions. Like ice, snow, and wet and slippery roads. Stanford’s Design Lab named its DeLorean MARTY: Multiple Actuator Research Test bed for Yaw control. Design Lab reworked the suspension and added an electric drivetrain, computers, and autonomous systems. Even though this was done in 2015, the DeLorean’s quick moves are still impressive.
