Real

We put so much effort into the imaginary,
trying and trying to make it work.
It looks solid, complete and full.

Then time passes, and…
Who is the fool?
Who looks confused?

Where does that misunderstanding come from?

The imaginary is useful — we need to use all our faculties,
including our imagination.

However, if we try to build on a foundation that isn’t there,
the structure won't stand the test of time.

If we rely on the imaginary, it won't stand the test of time—it can’t,
because it doesn’t have enough support.

The imaginary requires constant refuelling.
It demands attention, renewal, and effort to stay alive, current and relevant,
whereas the Real needs none of that.

The Real just is.
It doesn’t need to prove anything.
It’s simply here.
