Arvin Police investigating deadly shooting on Langford Avenue

The Arvin Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Monday evening. Police said they received a call of shots fired around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Langford Ave. and Butte Ave. in Arvin. When officers arrived on scene they found a 30-year-old Hispanic man suffering from several gunshot wounds. Officials said the victim was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kern County Coroner was called out. As of 11:30 p.m. Monday night Langford Avenue was blocked between Butte Ave. and Stockton Ave.
