A springtime ride guided by curiosity and conditions—beginning with the simple idea: “Let’s see how it goes.” 🌼🚴‍♂️ Starting from Trentham Memorial Park and winding through suburban trails and riverside parks, the journey builds through forested backroads and gravel tracks. 🏞️🌳

With fine weather and a light breeze, there was little excuse not to continue. 🌤️ The highlight? Goat Rock Road—steep, rugged, and never before tackled on a gravel bike. 🪨⬆️ A past attempt on a mountain bike ended in broken spokes and a shattered helmet gimbal. 💥🛠️ This time, better preparation turned it into a rewarding ride of hike-a-bike climbs and sweeping woodland descents. 🍂⛰️

This extremely varied ride transitions from suburbia to native bush, river crossings to rural isolation, culminating in a golden-hour return across familiar trails as the sun dips below the hills. 🌇🛤️

Exhausting, challenging, and entirely worth the push. 💪✨
