When the Tears Fall

The house is quiet, the lights are low,
And I’m still holding on to ghosts.
Your voice still lingers in the air,
But when I reach, you're never there.

Everyone says, “you’ll be fine,”
But they don’t hear the cries in mine.

When the tears fall, they don’t stop,
Like rain that crashes on the rooftop.
Each one carries what I’ve lost,
Love that left and what it cost.
No one sees, no one calls—
They’re never here
When the tears fall.

I wear your hoodie just to feel,
Like you were something truly real.
Photos fade, but pain stays new,
No one meant the world like you.

I fake the smile, I play the role,
But I still cry down to my soul.

When the tears fall, they don't lie,
They tell the truth I keep inside.
Every drop knows what we had,
The beautiful and all the bad.
You were my rise, now you're my fall—
And I'm alone
When the tears fall.

If you could see the mess I am,
Would you still reach out with your hand?

When the tears fall, it’s just me,
And all the things we’ll never be.
Time moves on, but I stay still,
Crying for you, and always will.
Love once sweet now tastes like salt—
I'm still breaking
When the tears fall.
