REDEEMING THE TIME ephesians 5:16 what does that mean ? embedded

We are allotted only so many days on this Earth in this lifetime. We are to make the most of it.

Only some of you know your purpose in life, let alone what is the path to get there.

Redeeming the time, means merely the buying back of the time remaining to you.

Doing something worthwhile with the time remaining to you of your life.

Instead of trying this and not being successful then jumping to this and before any fruit can be had; you’re off to a new adventure to see IF THIS is God’s Will.

Trial and error is not God’s way of teaching a disciple in the WAY.

Ephesians 5:16-18
16 [a]making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.

17 Therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless, but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is.

18 Do not get drunk with wine, for that is wickedness (corruption, stupidity), but be filled with the [Holy] Spirit and constantly guided by Him.

In this short scripture is an encapsulation, is the big picture of the follower’s life here on Earth.
•Find Your Purpose
>remember you purpose
>purpose you decided upon during this life
•Do not be involved in worthless pursuits
>don’t be involved in like mind escape pursuits
>guided by Spirit, opportunities to serve others

In serving others, prayer and meditation upon God’s Word you will find your purpose in life.

No one is using this WAY, the formula I provided you, of finding God’s WILL for their life because no one has had any question. Or reported any success using this method.

Here is something I found a few years ago about finding and doing God’s will

Many people want God to align with their plan. It doesn’t work like that. God has more work-arounds than you I may imagine.

1. The question should be what does God want me to do? Nine-tenths of the difficulties are overcome when our hearts are ready to do the Lord’s will, whatever that may be.

2. Having done this, I dare not leave the result to a “feeling” or the first thing that pops into our mind.

3. The next step is to find, through my regular reading of the Bible, find the Spirit of God in the Bible in connection with what God is asking you to do.
If I look to the Spirit alone without the Word, I lay myself open to great delusions. If the Holy Spirit guides us at all, He will do it according to the Scriptures and never contrary to them.

4. Next I look at the circumstances in front of me. What is happening around me, does God seem to be providing for me. Or what doors are opening for me?
A closed door is a clear indication that an opportunity or that way is closed to us. God may not allow you to go forward.
These often plainly indicate God’s will in connection with His Word and His Spirit.
Making known your requests known and only before God alone.

5. Then I ask God in prayer to reveal His plan to me. If God is anything, [we’re like God in this respect] God is a communicator.
Then I proceed accordingly. In trivial matters, and in transactions involving in the most important issues, I have found this method always effective.

This method is developed in the 19th Century by old fashioned Christ’s men and women to rediscover their purpose in this life.

You came here to this Earthly realm to complete certain experiences to not only add those experiences to your quiver of arrows.

They are your tools to bring you personal success but bring glory and honor to God.

Here is maybe the only example I may bring that maybe any value to you.

Donald Trump, as a young man seemed to be on trajectory, a pathway to success.

Success is probably not the right word to use, but to fulfill his purpose in this earthly plane during his time on Earth.

I realize, statically speaking, most (55%) of you fall into the 45yrs to 59yr old group.

Most of you would not be considered young and in your prime or so old as to be considered infirm

It is okay to fall outside the primary group, at least for today’s illustration.

God has multiple ways to work around to get you back on track to aligning you to your purpose and his purpose in you,

You’re not happy now, may as well try God’s purpose. The purpose which fits you.

Begin to seek God’s highest purpose for your life through, prayer, reading God’s Word daily, meditation and asking the Holy Spirit of God in leading you. Use the simple outline above.

Remember God never leads us contrary (differently than divine love for God and man) to the plainly written Word of God.
