On June 6, 2025, federal agents from the Department of Homeland Security and ICE conducted immigration raids at three Los Angeles locations, including a Home Depot in Westlake, Ambiance Apparel in the Fashion District, and a warehouse near 15th Street and Santa Fe Avenue. Agents arrested 44 individuals for immigration violations and one for obstruction. Protesters surrounded the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building, clashing with agents who used tear gas, flash-bangs, and less-lethal munitions to disperse the crowd.
