Lakeville Softball Rap by Adam Stark

I decided to write a song in my personal way about my Lakeville Minnesota’s Softball team. I didn't use anyones name, I wrote this is a way that can happily apply to any team... minus the part about mentioning ‘Lakeville’ specifically lol
This song here is also appropriate for all ages :)
I wrote this from my heart, something fun and uplifting, with a touch of my humor ;)

Lyrics:
Inventory check...
Bats, cleats, sunglasses so we don’t have to see-the-sun,
Some Sunflower seeds-that-we-love,
Water bottles, helmets masks and pads-for-knees-&-gloves…
That the catcher has-to-have-to-be-tough,
Dark and shiny makeup, hair berets, bright-bracelets...
and coaches with divine-patience!
...oh And approximately 27-racks,
For all of thee-concession-snacks!
Bring your siblings, moms-and-dads,
uncles, grandmas, aunts-and-gramps,
perhaps your mascot, dogs-and-cats
and debatably an Almanac
For one to keep on-the-track
Of all-the-stats!
(That last line was a joke, it's okay to pause-and-laugh)

Conquering the nervousness and apprehension,
Sometimes the walk up song doesn't exactly match-the-tension...

When the bats-release,
The stats-increase,
Each player’s inner beast that they didn’t know they had has-achieved
a Thematic-feat =
Of transporting the softball past-the-green,
The other team scream savagely =
yelling at their outfielder saying "CATCH IT PLEASE!!!!!"

Our players steal first-base,
Second base then third-base,
They've even "stolen home" together... wait... could "they're be any" crime there? Get em' in trouble...
Thats a double meaning,
Get it? I said they've even "STOLE. IN. HOME." Could their B.N.E. crime ‘there’ get them in trouble?

Moms and dads-are-chanting,
No pauses as we clap-our hands-recanting,
Cheers plus parent’s hands are As acrobatic as Adam's erratic-dancing…
Players will be-so-proud to see-the-crowd as half-our-hats-are-slanted,
From the movement you-kids get us to do-with the passion-that-we’ve collapsed-with!

When it comes-to-fielding,
It’s the funnest-feeling,
We can count-to maybe about-2 at the most before a batter runs-revealing…
The words yelled out loud “SOMEONES-STEALING!”

Ready for every-situation,
Our players equipped with Steady-communication,
Getting the runners out in a major-way,
Other team in great-fear cuz our girls are like Shakespeare… they know how to make-a-play!
Softball is so exciting to watch it’s hard-to-stay-still,
Our pitchers throw more strikes than the number of parks-in-Lakeville!
