During Summer Games Fest 2025, Capcom announced that they were working on Resident Evil 9 at first, and we thought that was going to be it. As soon as Summer Games Fest 2025 wrapped up, Capcom dropped a surprise reveal of "Resident Evil Requiem." IT IS Resident Evil 9, but the way they did the announcement was akin to the way they announced Resident Evil 2 or Mortal Kombat 11. You got me, Capcom. You got me.
