JUST NOW: Security Guard ADMITS Diddy BRIBED Him! | Diddy Trial
In today's proceedings, Derek Ferguson, the former CFO and longtime business associate of Sean Combs, took the stand. Ferguson worked closely with Mr. Combs from 1998 to 2017, eventually serving as Chief Growth Officer at Revolt Media and TV. His testimony focused on the structure, finances, and day-to-day operations of Combs’ various companies — including Bad Boy Productions, Sean John, Combs Wines and Spirits, and Revolt. Ferguson confirmed that Mr. Combs was the 100% owner of several companies and received income through both salary and corporate distributions. He described the internal financial systems — including business checking accounts, credit card reimbursements, and occasional petty cash advances. While he acknowledged seeing outgoing transfers to Cassie Ventura and others, he maintained that most financial decisions were managed by the comptroller or other finance personnel.
AUSA prosecutors introduced multiple bank records and organizational charts. Ferguson confirmed the legitimacy of these records and explained how the accounts and LLCs were structured for tax, liability, and privacy reasons. He also stated that some properties — including homes in Miami, New York, and the Hamptons — were held through these entities. On cross-examination, defense attorney Mark Agnifilo asked Ferguson about the early days of Bad Boy Records, noting Mr. Combs’ efforts to expand into clothing, spirits, and entertainment. Ferguson explained that he saw Combs as someone building companies that could employ people from underserved communities, and that many of their financial practices were standard for high-profile businesses. Agnifilo also asked if Ferguson had ever witnessed Mr. Combs engage in any wrongdoing. Ferguson firmly stated no, he had not seen anything criminal, nor had he observed any behavior involving force, inappropriate control, or mistreatment of others. When asked about his opinion on Mr. Combs, Ferguson paused, acknowledging that he once learned a lot from working with him — but ultimately said, “I don’t know how to respond to that.”
