multiple locations near downtown Los Angeles . Lee Evans explains
We start with a German announcement from Ingrid, imitating the voice of Mayor Karen Bass – sounds like a telephone voice jolting you awake in the middle of the night. "This morning we received reports of federal immigration enforcement actions at several locations in Los Angeles..." – sounds serious, but Ingrid gives it a dramatic twist, as if advertising an action movie. Perfect for setting the mood. But then we descend into protest hell, a video showing demonstrators raging against immigration crackdowns. Masked figures smash doors, slogans like "F*ck ICE" adorn the walls, and the camera sways like an action movie that's had too much caffeine. The scene is chaotic, with police officers in the background and a crowd fluctuating between anger and chaos. X-comments like "Wait... I think we call that an insurrection, right?" and "That looks very January 6ish to me..."
underscore the escalation.
Now we see "protesters" destroying concrete pillars with hammers, possibly throwing the debris at DHS police. The scene is even more explosive, with warnings like "If LAPD doesn't intervene, this could get very bad very quickly" from Anthony C. Comments on X, like "This is 1,000% worse than J6" and "Democrats love this stuff," demonstrate the polarized reaction.
Then we switch to FOX 11 LA. A professional report from FOX 11 documenting the immigration raids and the subsequent clashes. The tone is sober, with footage of police officers in riot gear, terrified immigrants, and Bass's criticism of federal authorities. It's the journalistic counterpoint to the chaotic X videos, but just as exciting. The reporter explains the background, while images of tear gas and arrests underscore the drama.
After all the political drama, we treat ourselves to a break with the "Love, Death + Robots" Season 1 trailer. Three witty robots explore a post-apocalyptic world and make fun of human relics like basketballs. "Say terabyte, sweetie!" and "Bad ball, think about your shameful deed" are highlights that contrast with the seriousness of the protests. It's short, sharp, and a welcome respite.
Then comes the CNN news bashing session, which dissects DJ Trump, Elon Musk, and Tesla stock with zero respect. Tracks from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack drown out the "lowbrow" comments, turning the scene into a surreal mix of politics and eroticism.
Finally, the focus lands on Lee Evans: Live in Scotland (1998, 95 minutes, but we'll stick with one excerpt). Filmed at the Edinburgh Playhouse, Scotland, Evans showcases his sweaty, manic comedy genius. He rants about kisses, hotels, and dogs, with lines like "Why does it need a noise?!" and "That towel's seen things!" His energy is infectious, and the contrast with the protests in LA is almost absurd. But hey, Evans' chaos fits our theme perfectly—from Scottish madness to Californian tumult. By minute 30, you'll be laughing until you cry, and the connection to LA is established because both scenes depict the spectrum of human emotions and reactions to extremes.
The whole thing unfolds like a wild ride through politics, protest, and comedy. Perfect for a night when you can't—or don't want to—sleep!

LA immigration raids lead to clashes, arrests | FOX 11 LA,
@Foxla
KABC reported:
Immigration officers conducted raids in Los Angeles on Friday, leading to gatherings of protesters who clashed with authorities at one point.
At one scene in downtown Los Angeles, a crowd attempted to prevent authorities from leaving in vans after several people were arrested.
Protesters threw objects at the vehicles while others tried to block the vans from leaving. One person was nearly run over when they fell to the ground after stepping in front of one of the vehicles.
Immigration officers were spotted at two different locations this morning, including a Home Depot store in the Westlake District.
A witness who spoke to Eyewitness News outside the store said several people, including men and women, some of whom are street vendors, were arrested.

The next mayoral election in Los Angeles will be held on June 2, 2026 (primary), with a possible runoff on November 3, 2026, if no candidate achieves an absolute majority in the primary election. This is based on the city's regular four-year election cycle and recent reports from X confirming the primary election for June 2026.
Karen Bass, the current mayor, was elected in 2022 and could seek reelection. Her term ends in 2026, and the next term begins in December 2026.
Consequences for defying federal laws: Bass risks primarily political (criticism, calls for her resignation) and financial (cuts in federal funding), less direct legal penalties, as long as she doesn't actively break laws. Her stance on immigration raids is typical of "sanctuary cities."
Los Angeles Population in 2025: Approx. 3.8–3.85 million, based on the latest estimates, with possible temporary declines due to the wildfires.

Lee Evans is a British comedian and actor, known for his energetic stand-up routines and roles in films such as Mousehunt and There's Something About Mary. Born on February 25, 1964, in Avonmouth, Bristol, he grew up in a showbiz family – his father, Dave, was an entertainer himself. After a brief career as a boxer and an art degree, Lee followed in his father's footsteps and made a name for himself with his physical comedy and fast-paced, chaotic narrative style. His trademark: sweaty performances and pointed observations of everyday life, as seen in Lee Evans: Live in Scotland (1998), where he rants about kisses, hotels, and dogs with boundless energy. He created iconic characters like "Malcolm," inspired by a quirky man he saw in a gas station, and is known for quotes like "If comedy is the new rock 'n' roll, then behold the new Elvis Presley" (The Sun).
2025 Tour Status: Lee Evans hasn't announced any new gigs since his 2014 "Monsters" tour, which was considered his last major comedy tour. Following that tour, which filled over 50 arenas in the UK and Ireland, he announced his retirement from stand-up to spend more time with his family. Since then, he has rarely appeared in public, with one notable appearance in 2023, as reported on X. There are currently no confirmed tour dates for 2025. Websites like Ticketmaster, Songkick, and Ents24 do not list any upcoming shows, and his official online presence is quiet. Fans can check his official website or social media channels (if active) for possible announcements, or subscribe to newsletters from ticket platforms to stay up-to-date.
