Romans 4:19–21 tells us that Abraham "did not waver through unbelief" and was "fully convinced that God was able to do what He had promised." But when we look at the story in Genesis, it seems like Abraham did waver—especially in Genesis 16, when he took matters into his own hands with Hagar.

So how do we reconcile this?

In this video, we explore how God's view of Abraham’s faith is ultimately one of grace. Genesis 15 says Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness. Even though he stumbled along the way, the overall direction of his heart was toward trusting God. By Genesis 17, he believed Sarah would bear the promised child, and in Genesis 22, he was willing to sacrifice Isaac, trusting that God could even raise him from the dead.

This video is a powerful reminder that God sees the whole of our faith journey—not just the moments we fall, but the direction we’re walking in. Be encouraged: God is faithful to His promises, even when our faith feels weak.
