Why Must I Work Out?

I was spending some time with my son before bed last night and he asked me to flex. Then he asked me… “Do you think I'll be as strong as you when I’m older?”

“You’ll be WAY stronger than me” I said.

Then he flexed, I felt his muscles and told him that he was almost there.

He went to sleep knowing he was strong and his dad was strong.

No matter what I’ve looked like, my son has always thought I was the strongest man in the world. Even at my heaviest and most sloppy, he didn’t see it.

Because of that I owe him my best. He thinks I'm the strongest, best dad in the world, so I need to make sure I am giving him that. I refuse to give him a lesser version of myself.

After coaching hundreds of fathers inside my transformation program Men Of Fire, this is one of the greatest lessons a father can take that's been stuck in his health and discipline:

What happens between your ears is more important than what happens at the gym. The way you speak to yourself, who you surround yourself with, what kind of voices fill your head, your identity, the excuses you give yourself, those are the mental habits that will make or break your physical habits.

Once you fix the way you see yourself, your self belief, and your perspective, the physical habits come naturally and consistently.

If you're a father struggling to be consistent with his health and discipline and want to show up for your family, tap the link in BIO to apply to Men of Fire 💪

A better life is waiting👊
