Watch this blind dog who was abandoned in the desert fall in love.

Leo can’t imagine who would dump a defenseless animal in the wilderness, let alone a blind one. It’s hard enough for these rejected angels to find scraps of food in the rubbish that people leave at their makeshift camp sites, but to be blind and not see those piles of trash makes it nearly impossible to survive.

Fortunately for Casper, his girl friend Sammy led us to him.

Sammy is afraid of people, and you can’t blame her. Desert dogs suffer heinous cruelty from evil people ... rocks and bottles are tossed a them, hot grease thrown on them, pellets and even bullets are shot at them.

Once he rescued him Leo took Casper to a renowned eye specialist but there is nothing to do for him. Luckily Sammy is his best friend and she is also his eyes.

In this video Leo introduces Casper and Sammy to their new permanent yard at the 115-acre sanctuary. Now Casper can memorize his surroundings and be safe and loved for the rest of his life.

Note: In the video we were looking for a new vet to fill in for Dr. Brown when he had his surgery. Not only did we find a terrific new vet, but he is now on our permanent staff!
