D Day Remeberance
Whispers of Normandy
In memory of D-Day
The waves were cold, the sky was gray,
But still they stormed the beach that day.
With trembling hands and steady will,
They climbed the cliffs, they charged the hill.
They left behind their mother’s prayers,
Their sweetheart’s touch, their brother’s stares.
And in their packs, a simple dream—
That freedom’s light would always gleam.
The sand ran red, the air was torn,
A world was changed that fragile morn.
But in their eyes, no thought to flee—
Just courage born of loyalty.
Now poppies bloom where rifles roared,
And silence stands where eagles soared.
We honor them with every breath—
The brave who faced the storm of death.
So whisper thanks to those who gave
Their youth, their hope, their lives so brave.
And hold their memory, soft and true—
For peace was paid… by what they knew.
