ispace lunar lander descends to moon but fate unclear after contact lost

Japanese company ispace attempted to land its Resilience spacecraft on the moon today (June 5) at 3:17 p.m. EDT (1917 GMT). During the descent contact was lost with the spacecraft and its fate is unclear.
