Minecraft 1.18.2 | Hard Survival | World 5 | No-F3 | RSG | UA System & Baseline Module Fabpack

It’s time to introduce a new component of the Fabpack, and watch things crash and burn in flames as it does. A complete hour of gameplay is lost when the recording software crashes and I hadn’t noticed, though audio made it through successfully. Another hour is saved thanks to the use of ReplayMod (yay for the added part of the modpack), but it only recorded one of the missing gameplay hours. Then there’s an unexpected mod conflict when specific in-game conditions are encountered. That was fun to track down and resolve.

Then, when I am recording video, a combination of recording software, in-game shader settings, capture card behaviour, and the phase of the moon result in a picture that looks like a toddler has been let loose with the television colour, contrast, and brightness settings after an espresso.

At least that can be remedied in editing software.

The gameplay not so much.

Perhaps if I set it to a black screen.

At least the added mods make for an enhanced gameplay experience.

I start this world in a fairly nice forested area, but there’s a significant lack of bed-making supplies. A boat trip later and I’ve got my first mob head drop! Exploring and base prep continues, with some effort going into deciding on a base design, since it isn’t the hardcore base design.

Sometimes it pays to actually play as the horrible character in the world who is kidnapping villagers for forced breeding purposes. And burn down the village that caused the game crashes. Playing the badguy occasionally can be fun.

The work on building in the base design reaches a natural conclusion when a zombie finally ends things for this world.

And yet another world committed to the bitbucket in the sky.
